fable (fáble) n.
In this case Fable is me and these web pages include fable trip reports, photos and things I think are interesting. They do not, however, have any information about fables or links to pages about fables. Why do I have fable.com if I am not interested in fables? Good question and one that I don't really have a good answer for. I am certainly not a legendary person nor really a cautionary tale. Perhaps it is the bedtime story aspect of it that appeals to me. At any rate - I have had "fable" as my irc nick for close to 10 years and it has really become part of my psyche.

Woo.. been a while since I had an update. Amazing how fast time flies! Life is still pretty standard which is sad in retrospect because you only get one life. A majority of time has been spent working, which we all have to do, but it seems in the US we do not embrace the "work to live, not live to work" theory. I did spend some of last week in Las Vegas with John and my sister Laurel. We went to a couple shows and gambled a little bit. I think a good time was had by all. After Vegas Laurel came back to CA with us and spend a couple more days hanging out, playing games and shopping. It was really a blast. You can go see the pictures here.

Life has been fairly standard of late. I have been traveling back and forth to NY to spend time with my mom. She had open heart surgery a few months back and managed to survive against the odds. She has been kind of depressed - her kidneys are now going bad which is just another sadness for her to try to deal with. It seems that all she does is suffer - no one said life is fair but this is an excellent example of unfairness. In addition to this grim news I have been gaining exposure to the world of anime. Currently the ones that I really like are Kenshin, Trigun and I am still pondering Cowboy Bebop. My anime pimp is Karl - who I worked with back in the day at Best Internet. It is actually Karl who is responsible for me being in California at all. Thanks Karl!
