The high action and humor of The Three Musketeers has guaranteed its spot on my top ten list. The movie is fast paced and entertaining with no pretence of seriousness. The character I found the most endearing was Oliver Platt as Porthos.

PLOT SYNOPSIS: Starring Keifer Sutherland, Charlie Sheen and Oliver Platt as the title characters, Stephen Herek's The Three Musketeers tweeks the classic Dumas story of a country boy D'Artagnan (Chris O'Donnell) who persuades the musketeers to let him join them in their attempt to overthrow Cardinal Richelieu's (Tim Curry) scheme to form an alliance between France and Great Britain. Tim Curry's Cardinal Richelieu is hysterical and spooky at the same time. The film is filled with entertaining one liners and boisterous fun.
